In Our Community
Keeping It Local
As a local business, we recognize the importance of being responsible citizens and giving back to the community where we live, work, and play. We may have started small, but our love for the local Tampa Bay community has grown with us over the years. Our team is proud to hold semi-annual volunteer days, for all our employees to see the change we can each make in our community.
In addition to volunteering locally, we make a point to purchase our own business-related products, such as stationary, apparel and marketing materials from local sources and small companies just like ourselves. Building long-term relationships with our local vendor partners is just as important to us as building the strong relationships with our customers - which form the back-bone of our success.
We are proud to give our time and talent to these local organizations that share the same values:
HILLSBOROUGH EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Our team has helped to collect and sort donated school supplies at the Teaching Tools Store in support of local students.
VAN GOGH'S PALETTE
We provided furniture for this local organization that supports individuals recovering from mental illness.
During school breaks, the FBI team organizes fun activities, such as games and crafts, for the children who are living at the Joshua House.
In 2015 alone, our team sorted over 13,000 pounds of food, resulting in over 10,000 meals in the Tampa Bay community.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Our volunteer hours went towards completing renovations on existing homes for deserving local families.
ARCHITECTURE FOR ANIMALS
In teams with AIA, GBCX and CSI members, volunteers designed and built interaction/stimulation stations on the grounds of Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue to benefit the resident dogs and cats.
ROBERT HALF TOY DRIVE FOR BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
In the past few years, our donations contributed towards a new record of 1,000 bags of toys for children and more than 15,000 toys overall in the Tampa Bay area.
In 2015, we provided a donation of workstations and task chairs to this facility which helps adults recovering from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress. The workstations are being used to train their members on phone and reception skills.
In addition, our team members are actively involved in many local industry organizations, such as:
- AIA Tampa Bay
- Associated Builders & Contractors
- ASID Florida West Coast Chapter
- CoreNet Tampa Bay
- IIDA Central Florida Chapter
- Leadership Tampa Bay
- Urban Land Institute
- Workplace Alliance (Haworth Dealer Peer Group)
- Ybor City Chamber of Commerce
